About Friscoline

Friscoline provides news, events, photography, reviews, and a whole lot of other interesting information that effect the lives of people who live and work in Frisco, Texas and the surrounding areas.
My name is Paul Leonard and when I first moved to Frisco, Texas in the spring of 2000 there wasn’t much going on in this growing country town. Stonebriar Centre wouldn’t open until later that summer, Preston Road was one lane each direction, and there was one high school. But through smart city planning and the eventual development of the Dallas North Tollway, it was clear that this city was different and would grow exponentially.
That’s when I had the idea that this place would need a good source of news and information. There were other sources: the Frisco Enterprise, Frisco-Online.com, and a few others, but there would need to be a more direct path through technology. So I started eFrisco.net with a friend and we were on our way. The site would grow and even be featured in the Dallas Morning News in December 2000 as an upcoming community site.
In 2002, eFrisco.net combined forces with Frisco-Online.com which blended our news and info with their forums. Eventually the partnership changed and I went back to running eFrisco.net separately.
I changed the name of the site to FriscoStation.com around 2008 for better brand recognition (the whole e- thing wasn’t a “thing” any more), but time passed and I wanted something shorter and in 2013 I changed the name again to something shorter, Friscoline (wish I had hung on to FriscoStation.com to sell to the new office complex by The Star). Around that same time social media became the thing and that’s when a lot of our focus shifted to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook and where we are today.
We will continue to provide the latest news and info for our area and look forward to continuing to serve the fine folks of Frisco! Be sure and let us know how we’re doing and share your Frisco stories and info with us to!
